This is the first time I've done some thing like this, As you proberly guessed I am not the sharpest tool in the draw when it comes to computers so all help would be great.so I hope i do it right. I know that xp has ms-dos (even though lots of people have told me different) As I use a program for my accounts that run in dos I loaded it on to my pc first onto win 98 then I loaded it on to new pc(win XP)and it's been running with out any problems for 2 years. But the other day for some unknown reason it stopped working. I just get a pop-up/window saying "16 bit ms-dos subsystem, the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft applications chose close to termiate" Also when I start up I get these pop-ups/Windows appear "unable to access configaration for microsoft personal webserver" & java virtual machine launcher" Any one give me help? I would be very greatfull. thanx

Did you let Windows Update auto-install the XP SP2 updates?

Try this first [support.microsoft.com...]

If that doesn't work try DosBox [dosbox.sourceforge.net...] the recent versions work like a charm for old games but im sure your program will work fine in it as well.
