Get ready for the next Windows 10 update about to hit your machines.

You can look forward to Timeline, Focus Assist, and an update to Microsoft Edge, Dictation, and an update to Cortana.

No doubt your machine will be busy for a while during the update.

Curiously since that update I have gone back to having file copying problems

And now after a fortnight I can't roll back to 1709. Any ideas folks?
Error Code: 0xC00D426A

Apparently nobody on the internet know anything about that error code - certainly Microsoft don't.

The closest I can find is:
0xC00D426A: Error reading from the network.%0[4] - fine now how do you fix it?

This new error [new since update] persists in both Win 10 File Explorer and Q-Dir 6.99.2. File Explorer still has its old original copy problems which thankfully Q-Dir had overcome.

@lanCP
Have a look here [google.com ]

But with yesterday (for me in FR) Win 10 update, I have to say that edge is 10 times faster, made it my default.

I'm reading that Microsoft is investigating the error code, which, for some, is causing a range of problems, such as the loss of desktop. Very odd.

Did that first off. As I said - I find next to nothing useful.beyond

0xC00D426A: Error reading from the network.%0

I expect not many people copy files across a LAN from a STB.

ADDED: Still no way simple way to roll back 1803 without nuclear options.

Unfortunately, you will have to perform a new install. This appears to be a serious bug many are encountering with the new version of Windows 10.

I am going to recommend you downgrade to Windows 10 1703.

Yes, not the best news you want to hear. These feature updates are not thoroughly engineered and are rushed mostly to meet deadlines. They have become highly unnecessary in some instances. My opinion, focus on the apps and less on having the latest version of Windows. If your apps are working fine and you are getting your work done, minimize your need to jump on the latest release.

Now, get ready to go back to your previous version. I recommend Windows 10 1703 because its the most stable and efficient release to date.

Step 1: Go to another working computer with Internet access, download Windows 10 1703 from the following link:

Personally I recommend we all go to the download site in the link and download as many Iso's as you think suit your requirements.

You never know. Do you?[ADDED] Other useful links as well.
