Microsoft's Windows 10 Anniversary Update test build has included a tool to allow users to start with a completely fresh build. This would mean users can eliminate the bloatware that comes with a new PC. However, i'm not sure this will end up issued in the Anniversary Update when it's issued on July 29.

This could be a marvellous tool, if it is released.

A new tool that provides a way for users to start fresh with a clean installation of Windows. It's available from the Settings app, and installs a clean copy of the most recent version of Windows 10, while removing apps that were installed on a user's PC. Finally. A clean install tool for the masses. I don't see how well their partners are going to take this though. The margins on hardware are supposedly so thin that they feel they have to install that crapware to make ends meet...at least that's what they've been telling us.

Did anyone ask Mr. Lenono of their thoughts?

Sorry.

My last 2 desktops were bare bones builds. No bloatware.

Now my Windows Surface Pro is another story. A lot of MS stuff I will never use, but would be leary to wipe any from the machine due to shared libraries.

However a couple weeks after upgrading one of my desktops from 7 to 10, I wasn't paying attention and accidentally lost the Windows Explorer function. Looked everywhere but of course couldn't find it because duh, I didn't have it to search with. Did the clean install of latest Windows 10 thing and... voila!
