Windows 10's Anniversary Update may get a new Start Menu, or not, depending upon how insiders vote.
I'm somewhat confused why Microsoft want to keep changing something which people want to remain as is!

Anyhow, you can see a short gif of the new Windows 10 start menu here [twitter.com]

I'm not. It's called being compulsive, obsessive.

You can give the Microsoft engineers on the Insiders Forum your opinion and in my experience they become either indifferent or downright hostile to your views.

They have their own dream vision for Windows 10 - they love the accolades - they abhor constructive criticism, or even outright criticism. It would seem the attitude is more and more newcomers will quickly learn to love and embrace their Windows 10 and the recalcitrants with long memories of prior editions simply need re-education.

I largely don't care what they do - provided any update doesn't disturb my settings I have in place.

As for the new start? I use Classic shell anyway. Therefore according to Microsoft engineers I am an heretic. They don't seem to realise their loving creation is simply just another functional tool in our digital toolbox, not a life changing experience.

I spend about 5 mins arranging the 10 start menu to almost mirror the 7 menu and im done.

MS, stop fixing it till its broke.
