Fortunately mine simply updated to 10074 without a hiccup. For those suffering?

The boring bit? I don't see a bit of difference, OneDrive back again nagging me etc.

@IanCP... just curious. What is your uptime on the system, that is, do you run it 24/7 ad infinitum?

Two fellows I know who have been on the bandwagon for some time have indicated that stability has been rock solid from day one, and the only time their systems are rebooted is during an update.

XP was fair in that regard (not as good as NT4 Server), but Win7 finally made it to the "stable all day and night".

I know the Greenies will roast me, but my systems are up 24/7/365 unless there's an update, in which case that's just a restart, not a cold boot.

The desktop runs roughly 6 am to 8 pm. That's Win 8.1 though.

Windows 10 Preview is on a Lenovo Laptop running maybe a few hours a day. Since updating to build 10061 I haven't noticed any problems at all.

I'm still trying to fathom Microsoft's game plan with Windows 10. It has never made sense to me to have a "one size fits all" operating system designed for both Desktop/Laptop and SmartPhone/Mobile.

1. I know there is a strong body of opinion who passionately believe the "Desktop is dead, long live the Tablet".

They need to take a cold shower and speak to IT people in government, commerce and industry. Nobody with an eye on OHS is ever going to reduce screen and keyboard sizes purely for fashion in the work place - that is where the big Microsoft $$$$ are.

Therefore it makes sense to me to have at least two versions. I'm open to correction, but I also can't see swipe screens becoming predominant over a mouse in the work place any time soon.

2. Why also alienate volunteers who test Windows 10 Preview by emphatically telling those volunteers:

"I am afraid to inform you that in Windows 10 Technical Preview there is no option to uninstall/remove OneDrive."

Followed up with:

"This is how it has been made, in Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926 many changes has been made in OneDrive.

You can follow the instruction given under the section New ways to use OneDrive: of the link given..."

In other words, you are stuck with it - suck it up - yes it will nag you indefinitely until you learn to embrace and love OneDrive.

3. Then we have Project Spartan aka "Edge" which gives me the impression of just being a clone of Chrome.

Yes I know they are developing for a consumer market who need never to have enquiring minds or look under the hood.
