Has anyone noticed that when replying to old emails using Outlook 2003 on XP that the email address no longer is prepopulated in the To: line? All you get is the name of the sender. I haven't been through all the documentation yet to read further about this. Has anyone else noticed or is it just me?

I would assume that this is for security purposes. I think it's great for those who may unleash a virus on their system that attacks addresses in saved emails.

I think you only get that behaviour with the addresses of people who you have in your Address Book/ Contacts. I can still get pre-populated e-mail fields on my copies of Outlook 2003 and XP.

I've never kept an address book. Don't ask me why. You just reminded me to dig through the Help files to see if this is a security feature to prevent the sending of email if a virus is unleased on a system. That would make sense to me.

I agree that it's probably a security modification, but it doesn't work consistently for me except for Contacts I have recorded in my Address Book. I'm still seeing e-mail addresses pre-populated in the To: field for a lot of messages.
