Hi

Personally I use Kaspersky on my hone/office PC for internet security.

I need to load similar software onto our Windows Server 2003 machine but Kaspersky Internet Security 7 does not run on WS2003.

Can anyone recommend good (not too expensive) anti virus/hacking software to install on that machine.

Thanks

Mick

A Windows server OS requires a different AV than your average desktop. Kaspersky does seem to have Enterprise versions of their software that work with Windows 2003 and 2008 servers.

On the server level Norton AntiVirus is not a bad option. I wouldn't put Symantec software on my workstations or PCs, but on the server they have a nice product.

I will suggest you that use Avast Anti virus. You can download this from internet

Thanks Bill.

I've taken a look at the Norton site and can't find any reference to Server 2003. I don't want to install the wrong version and mess things up (business is quite good at the moment - don't want to rock the boat!).

Do you think that the 360 2.0 Premier version would provide the best security option?

Recently someone exploited a vulnerability in our mail server and caused us problems which highlighted our need for security.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the option Mahesh. That's the first time I've seen Windows Server 2003 mention. I'll take a look.

Cheers

No. I would never buy one of those all-in-one security suites. Plus that's a consumer level product. You need to go to the Business area of the Symantec site and look for the appropriate version of AntiVirus Corporate Edition.
