phpmyadmin on windows iis server 2003 and iis 6

root login issue in phpMyAdmin

Has anybody installed phpmyadmin on windows 2003 server and iis 6?

because i am unable to do root login after setup.

Sure. I've done this on my Win2003 setup. It works fine. I just followed the instructions at the phpMyAdmin project site.

but it is not working on my server, when i try to root login from PHPMyAdmin it asks for password again and again, and at last says, password is not correct. Even i am able to login from command prompt through that password.

Can anyone help?

That's difficult to say...it sounds like you didn't install the software correctly or there may be a permissions issue with your account working with the phpMyAdmin. The phpMyAdmin project does have support forums [sourceforge.net] over on the Sourceforge site that might hold the answer to your query.

I had a fairly easy time getting phpMyAdmin going on my Win2003 server so I know it's possible, but I've got physical access to the box. You may have a different situation with limitations on your account depending on your host. Does the account you're using have the correct permissions to allow phpMyAdmin to work?

yes i have complete permission.. it is my dedicated server..

can you tell me what kind of permission.. and of what file?
