Can't connect to other PCs in workgroup

Hi,

I was moving files to my new PC over my LAN/workgroup - but keep running into this problem. When I try to access \\ip_address I get 'netwok path not found. (all PCs are WinXP)

There are also none of my PCs/shares in my network places. I was able to connect earlier today - so I know my setup is ok.

Any idea why I am having trouble browsing my workgroup?

NOTE: I do have internet access on these computers...

If you were able to connect earlier have you made any changes to the system in the interim that might have affected this? You might want to try reverting the system to a previous restore point from when the setup was working to see whether that fixes things for you.

dont do \\ip (e.g \\192.168.2.9)

do \\computer name (e.g \\gary)

What is wrong with doing \\ip? It has worked in the past...
