i recently tried to activate outlook 2003. where it prompted me to put in whether i'd be using an exchange server or an msn server (home computer) i put in exchage server. the problem is i'm working with a home computer. as a result of that mistake whenever i open up outlook it gives me an error message: "the exchange server is unavailable" it doesn't even give me a chance to to go in and correct my mistake. It just shuts off after giving me that message.
can someone please help.

You could use your office CD again and repair installation but im not that certain. Or you may have to un-install office and re-install.

Hope this helps..

Go into the mail applet in the control panel. You should be able to reconfigure your mail profile in there.

You can also start outlook from the run command and use the switch of /firstrun

To use switches, at the Start menu, Run command type:

Outlook /firstrun

Occasionally you'll need to use the full path to Outlook, so the command line looks like:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /firstrun

Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation marks (") and are case sensitive. You'll need the full path if you create desktop shortcuts
