the keyboard went nuts

after I was editing the users in my XP windows and reloged with the same user (I put a pass on it) the keyboard stopped working properly. The buttons for :
u,j,m,i,k,o,l and p started printing numbers and not the partucular letter. Under dos it works fine.

Then I made a new user account and in the new account the keyboard worked fine.

I deleted all kinds of software which were connected with the keyboard in the old user but the keyboard continued printing numbers.

Could you please tell me how to fix the old user account because there are many things I need to use from it.

I'm with Fujitsu-siemens notebook.
I got a key "FN" in the lower left corner.
when I hold it and pres the particular key everything is OK. may be it's some settings of the laptop but I don't know how to fix it. It should be reversed in some way ...

You might num lock turned on, look for a button with num written either above or under it, hold the FN button and press the num lock button that should fix it.
