Hi,
I use a ASP tracking script to record visitor info into an access DB.

The script is activated by a Server.Execute command with the path name of the script.

When first installed, i tested a page by viewing it, and then loged into the report area where i can view the traffic info.

After viewing the page ONCE, it said it has been hit 64 times, and after the second time, 128 times.

A few minutes later, going to the root of the site would yield this error,

HTTP/1.1 New Session Failed

I could see this happening with a loop not closed, or a a DB connection not being closed, leaking memory and eventually just screwing up the whole webserver.

The tracking software is a commercial product, and I use it on another site, and it works fine. Why would the script execute 64 times every one view? Very strange

The machine is w2k server with IIS 5, with all windows updates installed.

Anyone see this before? Any ideas what to check for as far as IIS settings are concnerned?

Thank you

Xoc

I was going back looking at old orphan posts. Did you ever figure this out?
