Hi

I've tried searching around but cannot find an answer to the question of "How can I get PHP to run on our IIS (SSL) secure server".

I've been Googling around and there's the popular remove the ; from before the extension=php_openssl.dll but that was already gone.

My fingers are bleeding and it's the last step in a project I've been working on. Fingers are wagging at me and I've no idea what to do next.

We're running IIS6 on a Windows 2003 Server. Any suggestions in simple language please (if that's possible).

Thanks

Mick

This is a walk though how to get PHP setup on a Windows 2003 Server.

[learn.iis.net...]

How to implement SSL in IIS
[support.microsoft.com...]

Thanks Ocean. PHP works and SSL works but PHP doesn't work with my SSL. Confused.

This is strange.

When I try and run a simple PHP script on our https site I get the simple 404 - Page not found.

I know that the page is there as I can see it in the FTP file panel. Everything is correctly spelled.

So if you browse http://example.com/index.php it works
So if you browse [example.com...] it returns a 404 error?

Yes, Ocean, that's the weird situation I have. The page is there and the URL is spelled correctly.

It might be that the https version is pointing to the wrong website in IIS. How many other websites are currently on that server?

Thanks again Ocean.

I pleaded with our hosting company (who originally said that they couldn't help as our server is managed by us). They decided to help (God bless them!) and sorted out whatever the problem was.

Onwards and upwards.

Thanks again.
