Native Windows HTTP Compression vs add-in products like Pipeboost?

Are these products work it?

Has anyone compared the HTTP comnpression inside of IIS (Windows2000 Advanced Server) to Compression software vendors like Pipeboost.com?

To summarize one of the previous threads which I was involved in - I wasn't impressed with Pipeboost as I thought it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE what what it was, and it didn't cache external javascript or css pages, causing all kinds of javascript errors when the site was first loaded.

I uninstalled it and never looked back.
