I have installed php on windows server 2008 R2, everything seems fine and have added on IIS7 the required module. I am also using website panel(former donetpanel.com) but on the domain website settings php does not update.

The issue I'm having is that php files code are displayed on browser and not executed. It seems to be either a setup issue or a security setting. Any help appreciated.

I've heard the easiest way to install PHP on IIS 7.x is with the Microsoft Web Platform Installer [microsoft.com], I'm not sure if you've already looked at that though.

Here is a good video that may also help: Set Up FastCGI for PHP [learn.iis.net]

Sorry, but I have no experience myself with PHP on IIS. Hopefully someone else can help you out better, but maybe the links I posted will help you in th right direction.

Thanks Marcel, the Microsoft Web Platform Installer doesn't have the latest version of php that's why I've installed manually.

Also I was trying the new version beta of wordpress which allows sql to used instead of mysql, but it comes down to php being working.
