With these improvements in the product, we do want to make sure that they truly address the performance issues while continuing to maintain a high quality bar. As a result, we are going to extend the beta period by adding another interim checkpoint release, a Release Candidate with a broad 'go live' license, which will be publicly available in the February 2010 timeframe.

Not too bad, only a few weeks (unless there are more delays)

I'm really looking forward to Visual Studio 2010 and ASP.Net 4.0, lots of great new stuff to play with.

How have you liked the Beta so far? I'm still using 2008, not yet had a play with the 2010 beta.

How have you liked the Beta so far?

I find it a little slow to start up, and I find the overall 'feel' a little slow as well (this is apparently one of the reasons for the delay), but intellisense seem to be quicker at generating its list.

I love that I can now drag/dock elements out of the IDE and to another monitor.

As far as the 4.0 framework goes, there are so many improvements and new features [asp.net] I wouldn't know where to begin.
