Hello,

I have patched my XP server to increase the connection limits but I still get them when my website receives a lot of traffic.

My question is simple:

Would upgrading to Vista Business definitely fix this problem?

Thanks.

Upgrading to Windows Server will definitely fix this problem.

yes - you should not be running a server on the desktop OS.

Hi, I have just moved to a Microsoft-IIS/6.0 Server as my website had "too many connections" with my previous host capping at 300 'hard connections' which means very little to me. This was supposedly caused by Google Bot. Does the IIS/6.o have a connection limit? and if so.. how does one go about finding how many connections a website has?

If your hosting company capped the number of connections before, they can do the same thing with IIS 6. They don't HAVE to, but they CAN.
