I have two different domains that I need to point to the same physical website, yet keep the appearence of having two seperate domain names. Now in IIS I can setup a two different websites, each with its own IP address. What if the physical website is in another network subnet ? I think this needs to be handled at the DNS level ?

Probably not a wise move from a search engine point of view - you are inviting duplicate content issues from the off.

If you could tell us why you 'need' to do it, we may be able to suggest a better way.

You could set up the host headers to accept different URLs, but, as Quadrille says, why would you want to do this, it will most likely cause problems as far as Search Engines go.
