Hi,
I want to have a dynamic subdomain on my window server 2003. For example, if user register as "user1", then a new subdomain will be created at www.user1.mydomain.com.

My server is using IIS6, window server 2003 with Plesk 8.0.

I can't find any help on windows server 2003 on forums/internet.

Can anyone help me?

Appreciate it and thanks.

I would think that there would be a better way to do this, but I have a site where I use the default web site as the main site. Any domains with sub-domains which are not set up goes to this site, where I parse the server_name variable to determine the sub-domain.

This works well for me, not sure how you would do this is a shared environment or with Plesk, though.

Do you need to actually create a new subdomain or can you live with it just being virtual?

If so then simply add a *.mydomain.com in the dns snap-in and the same in the IIS panel.
