From an earlier, closed thread on same subject:

I've searched this forum and found a few ways to do a redirect on an IIS server for a single page.

What I want to be sure is how to do a 301 for all non-www pages on my site to 301 to www.domain.com

I'm showing in my stats all kinds of referrers from non-www and www and it sucks totaling them to get an accurate count.

Also Im sure the ranking would be better for the SE's.

thx

and

The easiest way is to install isapi_rewrite on the server.
Not all hosts will do this for you. If you have access to the server, no problem.
The license costs about $60, I think.

A client I'm working with is hosted on one of the cheap domain hosting services. I spoke with their customer support folks a couple of times now, and can't get them to accept it is a problem, and don't know how to correct.

Besides Isape_rewrite, what is next thing to try to redirect all domain.com to www.domain.com?

There is one other method they could do that would implement a "global" 301.

IIS: Redirect a domain such as example.com to www.example.com
[xoc.net...]

Thanks pageoneresults,

I just decided to switch the hosting to Linux. Everything is easier...
