text manipulation: convert url slashes into dots

Anyone know how I can take a textstring gotten by

Request.ServerVariables("url")

and convert the slashes into dots, like this:

E.g.
/myfolder/myfile.asp

TO

/myfolder.myfile.asp

?

Easier than I thought.

erm, surely that won't acheive what you want?

Replace will do this:

E.g.
/myfolder/myfile.asp

TO

.myfolder.myfile.asp

NOT

/myfolder.myfile.asp

If that's actually what you want then fine, otherwise you'lll probably be best off with Regular Expressions

mrMister is right... Replace won't get you exactly what you asked for.

This will work too:

t = "/myfolder/myfile.asp"
t = strReverse(Replace(strReverse(t), "/", ".", 1, 1))
Response.Write t
