Well there is Writely (google docs) for simple text collaboration.

But what if you want to do pair-programming , with your colleague over internet in VS.NET?

Have you done that? any tool that might come close to that?

Thanks, Leo

PS: I haven't played with VSTS, I was thinking this would be a natural feature for it, maybe it is already there!

I did the M$ .NET training recently and the model doesnt include pair programing at all so I wouldnt expect TS to have features for it. Its more about collaboration by using components and web controls made by others so they separate data access layers, web controls etc so you can use components created by other team members.

The MSF doesnt mention it, it says its a combination of structured and agile methods but doesnt talk explicit about any agile methods.

Webex and a speaker phone :)

thats what surprised me, i went tro TS features and there is no mention of pair programming. although, i think, i saw it as an upcomming feature on one of MS blogs. i am going to give Webex a try, good idea! thanks.

I don't belive any such feature exists in VS.Net or Team System for pair programming. I'd go with WebEx as suggested for that.

If you just want simple collabortion with shared source via the Internet, VS.Net will hook up to many source code repositories that support HTTP interfaces, including Visual Source Safe. Team System also supports this.
