Setting width of text emails by character number

We have email scripts which auto-generate emails to our customers. Recently, I converted the scripts to use CDOSYS instead of CDONTS to send the email.

The emails are sent plain text format.

In the past, the email widths were automatically trimmed to about 80 characters and then a new line would start.

Since moving to CDOSYS, the emails have wrapped to the client's browser window.

Is there a way in the CDOSYS settings to set the width of plain text emails?
