Any of you people in the States able to to subscribe for a 60 day trial copy of Microsoft Small Business Accounting and then send it across to me.

[microsoft.com...]

Its only available to US customers at this stage and I am trying to get hold of a copy to evaluate it prior to a UK version being developed. I cant get it through MSDN as I'm not a Universal member.

I would be more then happy to cover the costs for postage etc.

Are we allowed to do that? Isn't Homeland Security going to come knock on my door in the middle of the night? The black helicopters will come get me if I export software illegally.

I wonder if it's a repackage of the Great Plains Software they bought out a few years ago.

I wouldn’t have thought that there would be any legal issues as it is FREE trial software, has know specific value but is not available to us Englishman as the currency and taxations are different i.e. it is assumed that we wouldn’t want it.

My understanding is that a UK version will be developed in due course but as a developer I’m am hoping to get a head of the game and get an early preview. This would allow me to plan how it could be used by my clients well in advance. As a small business I can afford the benefits of a MSDN Universal subscription and it takes me longer to learn and implement new products (there is only me here!).

I believe this is totally new and not related to Great Plains but I haven’t seen a copy yet. My understanding is that it integrates with Outlook and the CRM modules etc. I am assuming it runs off MSDE and hopefully is web based?
