I am having a problem getting FrontPage Server Extensions to work with Apache2. Since this is my first time setting a webserver up this way, (I usually use a Sun Microsystem RAQ2 web server) I do not know what I am doing and would gladly appreciate anyone out there to help me. I have a site made that is requiring FrontPage Extensions and Active Server Pages to be enabled. any ideas?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Nyghtchyld0577,

well, asp on Apache isn't going to go well and I wouldn't recommend it personally. If you want asp then IIS would probably be the way to go.

As far as frontpage extensions go I tried a couple of searches using 'enabling frontpage extensions with apache', there were a few things but it didn't seem like there was too much. I have never done it myself so I really am not sure. also did a few searches on apache.org and found pretty much nothing.

I don't mind using what ever I must use. IIS did make sense for me to use. I was just told Use Apache and make it work. I don't care as long as I get it to work. The only requirements for the project that have been put on me is 1. Must be hosted from XP Pro machine and 2. Must not cost ANY money to the company, that throws out my idea of bringing in my RAQ 2 server which I have already got the site working on.
