This question is located at my new forum. It had been quite a long time but no reply. I not really sure of the answer. Hope somebody help me to answer it.

Welcome to webmasterworld sportstoto3368, you might want to put your question in your post rather than linking offsite to it as linkdrops are generally not allowed here.

Getting back to your question...

My gut reaction is that you need IIS to test your ASP files/code reliably there is no easy way to get around this problem, especially if you can't install a copy somewhere.

While I believe it's possible to use ASP on apache I've never tried it and last time I read up on it the subject it was suggested that this wasnt a very stable solution.

The only alternative would be to use your host as the test platform, but that's risky because even the best of us make rather spectacular mistakes from time to time and most hosts get rather "sniffy" about you using their systems as a test platform.

My 2c says find your XP disc and install from there - if you have a licenced version then you should have the CD or at least the install files around somewhere.

You can download and install an IIS emulator from [buyonica.com...]

This runs on Windows and allows you to test ASP pages as if you were on a live web server.
