ms money 2001

trying to restore, but it's saying there's a file that's needed

... but it isn't on the computer.

This is my brother in law's computer. I am running getdataback for fat and it's showing that nothing money associated has been deleted. I think that the deal may be this:

He explained to me that yesterday word started acting up and everyone remembers the dialog box that says ("your system is running dangerously slow on resources.") Well he thought it was with word, so he started deleting some stuff for word. :o

Ok, fine, and the money file that was in his documents folder was overwritten. Now is there a way to restore the computer that was before this point? I ran scanreg /restore, but the last point was 1/4/03! Are there any ideas floating out there?

Does he have a backup file for Money? I haven't used 2001, but I've used it since 2003. My versions auto-backup a separate copy. Did he overwrite/delete that too?
