Data Un-Delete

after formatting

Does anyone have any good experience retrieving data after a format? Not sure if any software can do it... and getting a tech. scientist here isn't an option.

My worst nightmare became reality. I formatted my comp today, and forgot to backup a new personal website project. I did all the work locally, getting ready to send it to the webhost next week. Over 100 hours of work: gone. My lesson has been learned.

Any ideas, other than to begin crying?

Hello,

and don't worry... This happened to me some time ago and I used a programme called GetDataBack (just google it) to restore the files.

Good luck

PS. Backing up your work is boring... but backups can be nice to have (sometimes).

mattglet,

Not a solution to your problem, but simply something to help you avoid it in the future.

I have been using this program called Handy Backup for a few months now, and it is great. You won't have to remember to backup files again.

I have no affiliation with them. I simply purchased the program after a tip here at WebmasterWorld, and am a very happy customer :)
