Yellow Pages Group in $2.55 billion deal to buy SuperPages

Burnaby-based SuperPages is being sold for $2.55 billion in a deal that gives the Yellow Pages Group a virtual stranglehold on the telephone directory business in Canada.

The deal, through subsidiary Yellow Pages Income Fund, will increase Montreal-Based YPG's reach to 93 per cent of the Canadian population and marks the second time in less than six months that Superpages has changed hands.
