The google/maps presentation is pretty nice.
Of other note I saw 14 visits from google local. Out of about 3300 searches. (I think I averaged about 8/month last year.
On my search terms about 1,000 were for industry terms. Probably about 6-800 were for geo/industry terms. hard to figure since there are a lot of singleton searches with all kinds of variations on search phrases/geo descriptions.
On closer inspection the number 1 industry/geo search term only hit 16 times. So the usage of Google local is significant.
My best conversion phrases from SE's are the industry/geo phrases. The 5 or six main terms generate the most conversions with lots of twists on geo descriptions. A wide variety of industry terms contribute conversions though. I see lots of value to the long tail effect.
Is anyone seeing an uptick in usage of Local or any other aggregator?
