Should local businesses employ a micro-local SEM strategy?

Absolutely! Works like a charm too. Been doing this for years now. There are many ways to be creative with local information whether it be the weather, the population, the schools, shopping, etc. This is also a great opportunity to promote your local business partners. ;)

P.S. Be sure those pages have local address information including telephone and fax numbers. Area codes play an important part in all of this. Spell out the address, try not to abbreviate. If you do abbreviate, use the correct postal format which excludes punctation.

I'm interested! Local SEO and overall local internet marketing is my area, and I also think it is an overlooked gem that will grow explosively in the next few years. Anyway, re:
