Did you burn it as an ISO or just as normal data? Your burning software should allow you to burn it as an ISO. It may be labeled "CD Image" in your settings rather than ISO. Search the help menu in the burning software for instructions on how to burn it as an image or ISO.
If that's not the problem, did you check that the SHA1 checksums matched the ISO's? Fedora has instructions on running
sha1sumagainst the ISO to see that it matches on their download page [fedora.redhat.com] under the section "Downloading the ISO Images" (about 4/5 of the way through the section).

linux ide=nodmasuggestion from post 3 and 6 work for you.
Just found the explanation for the mediacheck problem [fedora.redhat.com]:
The mediacheck function is highly sensitive, and may report some usable discs as faulty. This result is often caused by disc writing software that does not include padding when creating discs from ISO files. For best results with the mediacheck, boot with the option:
