Scripts and Popups, do they count?

too much information

I was just checking in on some of my paid advertising inbound links, and I noticed that some of the pages with my link on them are dynamically generated, and others cause a pop-up window to open which contains a link to a link to my site (if that makes any sense).

I'm afraid that the dynamically generated pages with my link on them will not be found by any robots and therefore will not count as a link. I'm also concerned about the pop-ups with the links burried in them.

Is this something I should even worry about? After all they are paid advertisements on very well traveled sites in my industry, and would really help my PR.

I have been on two of the sites for over a year and they still do not show up as backlinks.

Thanks for any advice.

you may get a backlink registered from the dynamically generated pages - it depends on how many variables are passed in the url and whether the site uses session ids.

links in pop up windows will likely not get followed as bots have trouble with javascript.
