Counting links to internal pages

Standard link commands don't work

I'm trying to trace all links to a site with a URL something like : mydomain.com/area1

But the link commands only work for mydomain.com

This is just the homepage, and I'm not interested in the homepage. Area1 is a specific part of the site, as is Area2, etc. Area1 has it's own homepage, and that's where I'm getting links to, but I need a way of tracing them.

I've tried mydomain.com/area1 and
mydomain.com/area1/index.html

but they don't return any results

Is there a way of doing this?

I'm just an amateur, but at least by writing this your query will get back to the top of the pile!

The Google link command only works for pages of PR 4 or higher (something like that), so if your internal pages are lower PR you can't see the links.

Have you tried the Alltheweb link check? Can't remember what it is but I'm sure someone can!

I always check all the major search engines for back links.

So, nobody knows how to do this :-(
