Okay- so we have been using LinksManager for maintaining our links directory. Now I've heard that using LM is not really beneficial to us since the links don't really count towards our site. But even though the sites all point to our site but hosted on LM server is this still a problem?

Likewise, if there is a site that is linking to us who is also using LM do those links count to us?

Now if we get rid of LM we will lose some traffic and we do get a lot of referrals from LM. What would you suggest the work around be? Should we dump LM and make our own static links pages, keep LM , or do you think we could still keep LM and then have the really relevant links put on our static links pages?

Do you have ftp upload set up so that the pages are on your own domain? or are they still on the lm site? Just wondering if that makes a difference?

Just make sure other Linksmanager partners have their links page on their domain and not on Linksmanager's domain and you will get the normal PR boost from all of your links pointing to your site.

We use LinksManager as well. LinksManager has built-in controls that let you FTP your links pages to your own web server, under your own domain. With that in mind, it doesn't really even matter that another website uses LinksManager. You are swapping links with that webmaster's domain, not with LinksManager's domain.
