Hello

We are developing a large reciprocal links directory and wondered if anyone can advise of any toys that can the reciprocal links.

Cheers.

As long as we don't talk specific software and drop url's Dougs. That's what is difficult about a discussion like this, the uncontrollable need people have to plug their product. We really can't let that happen.

It’s true, when you are dealing with large amounts of links, particularly for multiple sites it is a problem to keep it organized. I’ve recently moved up from a spreadsheet to directory software. I’m thinking I’m going to like this upgrade for not only the organization benefits but for reporting.

<added>actually maybe I don't know what you mean by "can the reciprocal links"?

I think he means "check the reciprocal links"?

Anyhow, I was about to ask the same question. I know software exists to check reciprocal link status because I see certain links on my site checked each day at the same time by the same IP. If we can't discuss specific software, how about a DMOZ directory I could look at?

Check OptiLink. We use it on our site, and it's a fantastic tool.

Alternately, if you're handy with a script language you could either download and customize a freebie from a script forum or build one yourself - it's really not that hard.
