I'm looking for a reciprocal links script that allows catagories but does not have "?" in the url.

a. is there such a thing? (php or perl)
b. is there such a thing written in php?
c. if the answers above are "no" then my next question is, "Is there any point in having your link posted in a page that has a "?" in the url? I mean, how would a search engine even find it? Why would anyone want to exchange links with me?
finally,
I've spent hours and hours looking for a decent script that doesn't use "?" in the url AND allows catagories that display on separate pages. If you know of such a script (that won't bankrupt me; I want to use it on several different domains) could you sticky mail me with some leads. I'm getting desparate/frustrated.

(sticky mail means it will show up on my member's panel, right?)

Thanks.

Hey HeyJim, Welcome to Webmasterworld.

I mean, how would a search engine even find it?

Google does, unintentionally. I have a voting script where the links for voting each option are getting spidered and showing up as separate entries. It doesn't hurt the PR so I don't worry about it.

I have an ASP?Database driven Directory site and I have seen lots of he entries fro the directory show up in other search engines. If I'm not mistaken, when the spider follows search.asp with no?, they pull the whole direstory listing and, since I have the searech.asp on the main page, it spiders on down through everything.

I'm not sure I understand what HeyJim is talking about.

Does he mean that he uses things like:

<a href="www.heyjimssite.com?link=231">Recipicol Link #1</a>

instead of:

<a href="www.recipsite.com">Recipicol Link #1</a>

If so, why? Is he trying to keep people from going there without clicking the link?
