More than one incoming link from same site?

I have Site A with a PR5. It has many pages. There is a link on one of these pages to Site B.

Should I put more links on Site A that point to Site B and will this help improve PR and ranking?

Or does Google just credit it as 1 link?

The obvious answer you do not want to hear is: do what is best for your visitors :)

There have been several suggestions that Google has changed multiple link evaluations between one site and the other.

In the cases I've been able to follow, all links show as back-link (if Pagerank on both sides is sufficient), there may be a difference in ranking benefits/weightings and Pagerank passthrough though.

Everything in natural moderation I suppose.

I have a site which has PR of 6. Suddenly a year ago, a big portal decided to put my link on 100 of their article pages. That meant incoming links increased by around 40%. Nothing about the site changed except for the number of back links shown in Google and other engines. The PR and SERPs remained exactly the same as before. So I don't think it makes any difference to have one or many links from the same site.
