I read something recently saying that link exchange farms are bad news and will get you banned. Does that mean the above mentioned approach will get my site banned?
Thanks,
Jon
I also have been very busy recently getting links; I use keyword links.htm as the search text and drill right down all the pages sending emails to all on topic sites.
When I get replies saying yes that is when I check the site out. The conversion rate is not very high, so do not waste too much time initially on each site, a lot of sites do not understand the value of links, some are plain paranoid at listing competition others are just dead no one updating.
When searching for links change your keywords cover all your site topics, think laterally, also search for keyword directories.
Have fun its great when they come back Bingo another link! One more thing check out the links on those sites willing to link they often have links to other sites you can get links from.
GOOD HUNTING
You want to be careful with websites that use Zeus simply because there are a ton of webmaster out there that use Zeus and really do not understand the limits it has and how to use the system "properly".
We all get a ton of automated emails from Zeus sites that clearly have never seen my site but still want to link. It sounds like you have been careful with who you have linked with-keep it that way.
Zeus is not best way to get links but it does save time.
