I have recently tried exhcanging links with other websites which are relevent to the product that I am selling. My question is. My domain name is not the keywords or description that I want to promote. So is it okay to have another site title if it is not part of your domain name or logo? for example a site called www.dinofurniture.com . The logo says. Dino Furniture Online Furniture Store. I have been asking my link partners to inlcude my site title as saying. Discount Online Furniture Store. Is this acceptable with the search engines?

You can have any inbound link text you like. Google is believed to have some theming aspect to their algorithm, i.e. they will look to see whether the text on your page is in a similar field to the text on the incoming page and the inbound link text, so that this is more difficult to abuse. But if you have those words in your site and that's what you do then there should be no problem.

I would strongly encourage you to ask people to link you you using relevant words rather than your business name. This will help Google to realise what your site is about and therefore list you better under your most relevant phrases.
