I was wrong.
About a week ago, I get an email from a website complaining they could not find their link on my site. I have never heard of this website before that day.
I write back: - uhhh, okay, I have never heard of you, never seen your web site and after examining your site, would not have agreed to exchanged links with you anyway.
I never knew they even existed.
A week later, I get another email from this guy stating he is very sorry but he is going to have to remove my link from his site. However, he leaves the door open in his language in case I want to change his mind. He ends the letter by telling me he is sorry he has to do this but it is necessary.
That's the problem with the internet - it is too easy for kooks, weirdos and malicious people to start a website.
I guess this webmaster thought his underhanded approach was more effective in soliciting link exchanges than the routine method myself and others do it.
rogerd, that's exactly how it was.
