link from a 7 or 8

Pr8 or Pr7?

I have a link reciprocal link on topic with a choice of pages.

page1: is PR8 but has 50 links on the page. Mostly they are internal links and he has 2 outbounds to different sites

Page2: is a PR7 with 25 links all internal and I would be the first outbound.

I have to link from my homepage and he would link from his homepage.

What would you do?

What about the content and context of the page. Will your link have good achnor text and will it be surrounded by on topic text?

If one page is about socks and the other is about engines and your page is about engines I would want the link to come from the engines one almost errespective of TBPR

Not so sure you should worry about the pr that much, 7 or 8 is still a good link.

Yes the site is on topic. I recently got a link from an 8 off topic and it soes not seem to be working. I waited for 2 updates. I think the egg heads in google have got some sort of themeing going on now.

Concerning anchor test and all that, no problem- I have been doing this for a while ;)
