Maybe someone tried and what is the best approach to get it: To look for a relative topic with a broken link and change it or rather try to create a dedicated page?

Do you mean, looking for a broken link on a wikipedia page? Don’t bother. They work with the InternetArchiveBot to check periodically for outdated links in articles, after which they take their own action. If you have valid content, add it on its own merit. Spamming wikipedia doesn’t seem like a solid business strategy.

@lucy24 Spamming Wiki?- haven't thought about that. I don't plan to post a hundred pieces of content or get thousands of backlinks.... Why do you say so?

@peakminute...

Years of history of folks doing that. As for getting a back link from Wikipedia, you (or your business) must be an article, or resource for an article, on the world's largest encyclopedia. If that's not there, you might seek to make that happen, following proper channels, of course.

As was said, forget the broken link idea.

Put your educational hat on and consider where you might educate readers and significantly enhance a topic. A business with an opinion on a topic is unlikely to get a link, and also forget a home page link.

Research, research, and research.

Don't expect your contribution to remain and you won't be disappointed.

Wikipedia links have to be warranted. Simply linking to your page without adding any real value will almost certainly result in the links being removed. Linking to a deep page that contains useful content that is targeted to the article will be more likely to remain.

I have a few Wikipedia links but they are all very topic relevant.

For one site I have MANY wiki back links (I did not place them, others have!). HOWEVER, these links are NOT to a BUSINESS, which the OP asked about. Information site, specific topic, extra research and more involved deep analysis, greater than what wikipedia offers.

A wiki link to a business is NOT LIKELY and if found to be without any value to the topic from which it is linked, will have that link removed.

From a business point of view, trying to build back links from wikipedia is a total waste of time and energy.

Wikipedia links are nofollow
Wikipedia in academic community is counted as untrustworthy, no schoolar will citing wikipedia articles in their works unless there's no other sources to cite for

A backlink from Wikipedia would be an effective method to establish your brand. However, this authority site is strict regarding new websites creating a page. This will take effort and consumes a lot of time while reviewing your submitted data.
