Hi,

I have read until I am blue in the face about links and blogs and still have the following questions

1. Let's say I am writing a blog about Baldwin Pianos and the benefits of playing such a piano.

2. Should I link the blog to my website and if so, do I link it to the home page or to an inner page which discusses let's say, songs I play on the Baldwin piano

3. Should I linke the blog to OUTSIDE websites and/or blogs having to do with music, or pianos in particular?

Personally, I would have the blog on the same site as your (main) web site. Then I would create an internal link (meaning that it is a link from one page on your site to another page on your site), to the most appropriate "inner" page on your site.

Well, that gets a little tricky, but here goes:

In theory, you will dilute your page rank by linking to other sites. In theory, any way.

On the other hand, you will increase your authority by linking out to REALLY GOOD RESOURCES. If you see a page on someone else's site and you think, "Darn, I wish I had written that page," then I would link out to it.

If it is a good page, is relevant to your topic, and you think visitors to your site would appreciate / benefit from it, then it is a pretty good idea to link out to it.

Oh ok, yes the blog is on the same site as my main site

I also have internal links, lots of them, going from one page on my site to another page on the site, just as you said, to the most appropriate inner pages.

so on the blog then, I should be careful if I do link out, better to keep the links from the blog to an inner page of my site or to the main page of my site, correct?
