I got ahead of myself this afternoon in launching a new site. It's nearly ready to go and I was just waiting on a graphic from a developer to make it live. I decided to do some link building by announcing the site via twitter, on a friends forum and via facebook to family while I waited. I checked the search engine with a site: command and it was indexed 5 hours ago. Thing is it went live 20 minutes ago, the index page is a blank white page with no code and the title is "title".

That'll teach me for mentioning a site online even a few hours before it's live without at least putting up a proper placeholder page first. Very impressive indexing speed!

Yes it is, but very poor SEO to have title as title, seeing that you were only waiting on a graphic. :(

Lucky, I would have checked the site, found the page blank and ignored both the original and any subsequent announcements.
