Fact #2: I hate link building, I hate that job, I rather take more pictures, write more articles or whatever. Link building is not the same these days (at least from my experience). What would be your advice on looking for professional link building services? what to look for? (if possible and if allowed, any recommendation please via pm).
Fact #3 (and story): Recently a competitor with good budget redesigned their website and created another website "more commercial". In a short time links appeared everywhere (online magazines, directories, related sites...), their alexa rank went to the rooof (yes I know). The thing is, how this happened in such a short time? I doubt they had a team for link building, I bet they hired a service. No, I still have no way to know how they did this.
Funny thing is their Adsense campaign strongly targeted my website, ads everywhere... so I blocked them. I'm proudly have one of the best positioned sites among the field in my country, in fact their commercial website could be my client but for political reasons I know they won't contact me as my site is a direct competition to their other website. I must say this recently launched site of theirs now has more traffic and ranking than their official information site.
Fact #4: building links too fast (like this fast) is fishy, discussed in other threads here as something the SEs see as suspicious.
I'm doing well on traffic, one of my sites (the one that competes with them) has only natural links, I only did like 3% of them and I'm very glad about it. I know for sure one thing is "many links" (like them) and other is to have good, natural, related links providing better traffic. Anyway having such exposition online helps to promote and make websites known to more people.
I have other projects, some recently launched and still more ideas to come. I'm seeing a difference on link building, is not the same as years before, and yes, the niche makes a difference too. The thing is I find this task extenuating, boring and I just hate it (link building) and I would like to see how to pass this to another person or company with good results. I rather write more articles or take more pictures or whatever than doing link building.
In the past I've done good linkbait strategies, contests, more useful content and announces on my sites about the other new sites. It works good, I'm looking for alternatives. Please discuss.
