Hi All,
Can anyone tell me whether social bookmarking pages can contribute to page-rank improvement?

A very tiny amount. Most of the value comes from secondary factors like people finding your site on the social networks and then linking to you. Social networks are more about exposure.

Perhaps they can help with the very long tail keywords, that is all I think.

StumbleUpon links from profiles are all nofollow - but it can drive traffic in the same way that Digg can.

I would imagine very little, I only use social bookmarking to rank low competition keywords.
