A link that has both nofollow & dofollow

Does google count a link that has both rel=nofollow and rel=dofollow in tag

Hello all,

This may sound a weird question but one of my friends while submitting a link to his website into the comments of blogs did something like "<" a href="hiswebsite.com" rel="dofollow".

He knew that rel="nofollow" gets appended because of a plugin and updated him of his accomplishment. The question that arose to my mind was will Google count the link that has both rel=nofollow and rel=dofollow in the <a> tag.

I don't think Google will count the link. Any idea guys?

rel=dofollow is an undefined value. You would get the same effect if you put rel=happypants. Google will apply no weight to it.

Putting rel=nofollow rel=somethingelse might wipe out the nofollow, though - dunno.

That's a great way to sell nofollow links to people who don't know any better (but think they do)....!
