I am not aware of any SEO benefit.
Personally I think such buttons make a site look a bit spammy and I would always use the standard bookmarking option in my browser.

if they like your page they will bookmark it... if they don't, they wouldn't use the button anyway...
just my 2-cents... Tera

It is more of a benefit for the users than SEO. You give your website visitors an opportunity to share your information on a variety of networks.

I believe it is a good thing to do (SEO wise) to add bookmarks to your site. Google's algorithm looks at this as a measure of a site's quality.

*Getting* the bookmarks can be good for SEO (if the links are followed, if the links have decent anchor text, etc, etc...) but the bookmark buttons themselves are SEO neutral.

You should not use bookmark button directly, instead of bookmark button you can use bookmarking plugins such as "Share", "Add to". Most of the webmasters use these plugins to keep visitors in touch with their blogs.
