I been using this method for like 5 years. Basically I have an html code for the "widget". Something like this
{{My_Widget_HTML_CODE}}<a href="example.com" title="Width Keyword" target="_blank"><img src="example.com" style="position:abo#*$!e; top: 0px; left: 0px;" alt="Widget Keywords"></a>
I'm wondering though, should I remove the code? I get 60-70% SEO traffic. And the rest direct or via that link that's left on someone's page. I got like a lot of links from this. Currently got a PR4 (use to be 5) on my site, that gets like 4k-5k with 45k+ pageviews per day. I gotten 100's of thousands of links like this for the last 5 years. Probably over millions to be honest. When i do "Widget.com" it shows 3,600,000+ results on bing.com
I'm wondering should I remove the link back? Or should I keep doing it? Also because the link back image that I use as an anchor is so large, I want to change it to a smaller size, like 50x5 pixels would this be some type of cloaking because it will pratically be invisible at that small of width and it's going to position in the top right corner.
I read somewhere that low quality links ruin your pagerank or something?
So i'm wondering if I change the size to 50x5 and have css place it at the top right...it won't be considered cloaking.
Because right now, the iamge is like 100x100 that hangs in the top right corner like a page fold ad.
People can remove that part of the code, but for some reason many don't. So it's sorta like free advertising, but I want to change the size so it's less intrusive. But it will be small...is it cloaking?
Also should I remove it all together although even though it gets a lot of links for me?
